Pre-Kinder 2026 - Admission Process
Welcome to The Mayflower School. We appreciate your interest in applying and joining our educational community.
We invite you to be part of our educational project, which is based on integral education and formation grounded in strong Catholic values, excellence, and bilingualism.
Through this section on our website, we share information related to the admission process for new students, in accordance with the current legal regulations governing the application and admission of students as outlined in the General Education Law.
Application Process:
- New families application starts: December 16th
- TMS Community application starts: November 25th
Applications will be subject to availability.
- The child must be four years old by March 31, 2025.
- The guardian must complete the electronic Admission Request form through the Colegium platform (apply here) and attach the required documents:
- Application for Admission Form (download here)
- Birth certificate including the names of both parents
- Photo of the applicant (passport size, with name and ID number)
- Personality and conduct report from the preschool or previous school, if applicable
- Pay the application fee: 1 UF.
* Applications will not be accepted without complete documentation, nor will documents with alterations or corrections.
- Interview with Parents/Guardians:
- Date: Invitations will be sent via email starting the third week of December.
- Objective: To get to know the applicant's family, provide detailed information about our educational project, and determine if the family aligns with our mission and values.
- The school aims to promote the comprehensive development of students, requiring the commitment of all community members, especially parents and guardians. During the interview, the coherence between family expectations and the educational project, as well as understanding and adherence to the values of the school, will be assessed.
- Weight: The score from the interview will be translated into a grade for vacancy allocation:
- Outstanding: 6.0 to 7.0
- Good: 5.0 to 5.8
- Satisfactory: 4.0 to 4.8
- Insufficient: 3.9 or less
- Maturity Assessment:
- After the interview with the family guardians, an evaluation of the applicant’s maturity will be scheduled. This will take place as applications are received.
- Description: This assessment consists of two parts:
- Group Activity: A socio-emotional observation during a play session.
- Individual Assessment: Observing maturity and development in language, logical and verbal reasoning, and general development through various tools.
- Duration: Approximately 45 minutes.
- Objective: To determine if the child has the maturity to integrate appropriately into Pre-Kinder at The Mayflower School.
- The assessment will use an observation checklist that assigns scores, with achievement levels expressed in percentage. Applicants must demonstrate a maturity index of over 80%.
- Weight: The assessment will account for 30% of the final score.
- Open School Day:
- Objective: To allow prospective families to learn about the school through a presentation of the institutional educational project and a guided tour of the school's facilities.
- Schedule: The appointment time will be sent by the school via email.
- Results:
- Final Score Distribution:
- 70%: Interview and parent participation score.
- 30%: Child’s maturity assessment score.
- Cutoff Criteria: Selection will be based on achieving at least 65% of the total accumulated score, combining the 70% and 30% segments.

- Date: April 24th
- An email will also be sent with the results of the process.
- Payment Methods: Can be done through our website (via Web Pay) or in person at the billing office.
