Educational Project

In our Institutional Educational Project, we lay the foundations that support our identity, what we are, our approach to education, what we expect from our actions, and the spirit and identity we seek to nurture. This uniqueness and spirit that set our school apart from others with similar characteristics will be the legacy that students carry with them upon graduation.

We invite you to reflect on, share, and live this project so that we can transmit and model it in our daily interactions and in the tasks each of us performs and the values that inspire us.

Institutional Principles

To promote a holistic education, The Mayflower School's Educational Project is built upon five fundamental pillars that guide all educational activities: international mindedness, Catholic inspiration, academic excellence, bilingual education, and community spirit.

International Mindedness

Icono Solidarity

The Mayflower School aims to develop individuals with an open mindset who value and respect both their own culture and that of others. We believe in the responsibility we have as human beings to safeguard our well-being and that of the planet, contributing to the creation of a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding.

To achieve this, we promote the appreciation of our own culture and history while fostering a critical perspective that allows us to connect with both the local and global communities. We respect different viewpoints, value cultural and social diversity, and enrich ourselves from these experiences to become agents of change.

We strive to develop in our community an ethical awareness of the environment. We want our students to commit to its preservation and take responsibility for nature, its care, and the sustainable use of resources. We provide opportunities for students to experience and learn through direct contact with the natural environment.

Catholic Inspiration

Icono Solidarity

The school provides our community with a range of experiences to develop personal spirituality and promote the values formation of all its members.

The school's pastoral program encourages spiritual development through liturgy, sacraments, and social action. Community service allows us to embody love, a fundamental value for the TMS community, through acts of solidarity, visits, and interactions with individuals in vulnerable situations.

Creating an environment conducive to learning, good coexistence, and the practice of our institutional values is a responsibility shared by the entire community. School discipline aims to establish concrete norms and adherence to institutional values, ensuring that love, respect, responsibility, honesty, and solidarity are lessons that accompany our students throughout their entire school life.

Excelencia académica

Icono Solidarity

Bilingual Education (Spanish-English)

Icono Solidarity

The Mayflower School is committed to developing bilingualism as a fundamental element for understanding and living interculturality and international mindedness. We consider it an essential part of holistic development, enabling students to navigate a progressively globalized and changing society more effectively. Through bilingualism, we also aim to foster in our students an appreciation and respect for their own culture and for cultural diversity.

Bilingualism not only enriches social interaction but also plays a crucial role in working with people, entities, and organizations around the world. This linguistic and cultural diversity significantly contributes to the exchange of knowledge and perspectives.

School Spirit

Icono Solidarity

Faithful to the ideals of our founder, Ms. Gilda, the school is built as a community and a place of gathering, inspired by the Christian values that united the pilgrims of the Mayflower ship.

The TMS community spirit is what unites us, gives us identity, and shapes the ethos we instill in our school, promoting continuous academic, socio-emotional, spiritual, and personal development, and highlighting the values and skills acquired daily.

We aim to promote a comprehensive, high-quality, and meaningful education. At the same time, we strive to create a large Mayflower family, where each member feels motivated to give their best, working collaboratively, responsibly, with ongoing commitment and dedication, and with joy and enthusiasm.

Each family is an important part of the TMS educational community, and the school embraces the reality of each one, seeking their active and committed participation in the education of their children. The common mission that drives us, the holistic development of each student, requires a fluid dialogue and communication in an environment of trust, respect, and cordiality.
